We are actively working on projects in two different areas of Nepal.
Orphanage in Tikapur
Over the last year plus, we have designed bunk beds for a small orphanage in Tikapur, and will likely be helping design additional buildings to help them expand. The Bridge to Nepal blog has more. The first prototype was built several months ago, and some members have tentative plans to travel back to Nepal later this year.
Phuleli School
We are also working with Edge of Seven on a two-room schoolhouse in Phuleli. We have a project site set up on the Open Architecture Network.
Edge of Seven is coordinating with AfH national, and several other chapters, on designing and building educational facilities in three sites in Nepal. We will be sharing research with the other chapters as we proceed.
We will be holding a fundraiser later this summer for this project.
